Information according to GDPR Data protection declared of HAUMEA research: this data protection declaration informs you about the type, scope and purpose of data collection, data use and processing of personal data by HAUMEA research in accordance with the GDPR.

1. Data protection declaration for customers & members

The processing of your personal data takes place exclusively within the framework of the GDPR. Here we describe how HAUMEA research processes your personal data. This data protection declaration is aimed at our existing and former members, interested parties and potential future customers. We use the following personal data:

  • First and Last Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email-address
  • Account details

2. Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your data provided in the contact form will be stored to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

3. Emails

If you use the email functions offered on this page, the emails you have created will only be sent to the respective email addresses specified.

4. Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. We use this data exclusively for the delivery of the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. The granted consent to store the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter can be revoked at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” button in the newsletter.

5. Purpose of data processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes: 

  • for administration and management purposes
  • in the case of events and workshop offers for internal organization

6. Transmission of your personal data

If you provide us your personal data for membership inscription, contact form, newsletter subscription or any other reason, we will process your personal data within our association. In the case of a financial audit, your personal data, if necessary, must be provided to the authority. If required, for the application and settlement of funding statuses, personal data of members and collaborators might be provided to funding agencies. In all other cases HAUMEA research will not reveal any personal information that users provide to us to a third party without permission.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

7. Duration of data storage

As a rule, we store your personal data until the end of the business relationship in which we collected your data, or until the expiry of the applicable statutory limitation and retention periods and then until you withdraw your consent.

    8. Your data protection rights

    You are entitled, among other things:

    • to check whether and which personal data we process about you
    • to receive copies of this data, to request the correction, addition or deletion of your personal data if it is incorrect or not processed in accordance with the law
    • to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data
    • to object to the processing of your personal data or to revoke the consent previously given for the processing, whereby a revocation does not affect the legality of the processing carried out before the revocation
    • to request data portability if you are our member
    • to know the identity of third parties to whom your personal data is transmitted and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority

    9. Contradiction of advertising emails

    The use of contact information published in the context of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby rejected. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

    10. Server-Log-Files

    The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

    • Browser type/ browser version
    • Used operating system
    • Referrer URL
    • Host name of the accessing computer
    • Time of the server request

    These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A merge of this data with other data sources will not be done. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively, if we become aware of specific indications for illegal use.

    11. Google Analytics

    This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

    Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never associate your IP address with other Google data.
